Private Trip Permit Information
from Canyon REO
For those new to river running, the logistics of putting together a private trip, preparing rafting equipment, cheffing and packing food for a multi-day trip, and dealing with regulatory agencies such as the BLM, the National Parks Service, and the National Forests, can be a daunting task. We're here to make it as easy, and enjoyable as possible.
Many rivers require permits to run. Some are given out freely and are just used to track usage. Others are more restricted to protect river corridors from over-use. Some require fees, some don't. Some require. We've compiled information about some of the commonly run rivers in the South West, for your convenience.
While we specialize in the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon, which logistically is the most difficult river to outfit because of the length of the typical private trip, we can outfit private trips on rivers all over Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado and Utah. Call us for specific details and information about the river that interests you.
